It is strange to hear of a human being from heaven who came dow to live in the world. But in accordance with a legend in society circles around Lake Poso, such an event happened there. What had been experienced by Ue Bailolo, as being told here, is the proof.
Ue Bailolo was a person who did not have any children. Nevertheless, he was always at peace with this situation. As a compensation for his praiseworthy character, he was visited by two creatures from heaven who transformed themselves into human beings. One of them was a young man called Lalung, and the other one was a young man called Manurung. They wanted to be regarded by Ue Bailolo as his adopted children. And the lived as man and wife under the same roof as Ue Bailolo. Their presence caused Ue Bailolo's as well as other people's household conditions to change for the better. In short, they gave all people who lived lived around Lake Poso an extraorgave all people who lived around Lake Poso an extraordinary welfare. And there fore the people loves and honoured them very much.
Because Manurung was miraculously gifted, in addition to his cleverness in human relations and leadership, the people made him their king.
During his reign as king Manurung with his supernatural power converted a well into a lake by his magic spear. The lake is now known by the name of Lake Poso.
With the exctence of Lake Poso, the people's prosperity has been growing more abundant, and so has the healthy life environment. Really Lake Poso could have made the barren land arround it to be fertile and exterminate contagious disease caused by shortage of water which had killed hundreds of people.
